Corporate social responsibility

We guarantee the security of our products and services with a strong quality engagement.

For several years, we have been committed to implementing a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) approach combining the issues of an industrial company and the social and ethical issues of our world.

To ensure that, we integrate ethical practices to our development strategies based on three major themes.

CSR for eco-friendly practices

The impact of plastic on our environment is undeniable. To change things, VDLV has been committed for several years to reducing its ecological impact. We have thus set up a voluntary policy of selective sorting and waste recovery. To fight against single-use products, we use recycled plastic PET vials for our e-liquids. Current regulations do not allow recycling of materials that have been in contact with nicotine.

To produce our own French nicotine, VDLV uses an extraction technology based on green chemistry principles without resorting to toxic solvents that are harmful to humans and the environment. Our  Vapological Nicotine  production pole  is supplied with reverse osmosis water operating in a closed circuit. The water is thus reused instead of being thrown away. Likewise, it does not release any chemicals into nature.

Always with the aim of limiting its ecological footprint, VDLV has worked for several years with the Easytri Company to manage its office waste (paper, cartridges, batteries, cups, cans, etc.). Since 2018, we have saved 1,267 kg of CO2 thanks to this initiative. We also make sure good habits are adopted my members of our team. Managing document printing, archiving solutions, sorting waste concerns us all.

Action RSE

Reforest’Action is a participatory planting platform that is committed to planting trees for individuals or businesses. All over the world, these reforestation projects aim to restore degraded forests. They thus contribute to the socio-economic development of populations thanks to trees. In September 80 trees were planted in St Martin-d’Ablois en Marne (51) thanks to this partnership and our transporters.

In partnership with the Surfrider Foundation, VDLV regularly organizes awareness campaigns devoted to rubbish collection on the beach of Le Porge (33). Collecting cigarette butts, sorting waste … all of our employees and partners can volunteer to participate in these cleaning days.

Responsible Economy


Specialized in vaping, VDLV has made industrial innovation a real development issue. We are the first company in Europe to extract nicotine using green chemistry. By creating the first Industrial Hub in Nouvelle-Aquitaine in 2019, VDLV has made a commitment to  La French Fab   with one objective: to keep innovating and modernizing all of our production means in an eco-responsible approach.

VDLV also acts on a local scale, as the tobacco leaves used for our nicotine production unit are cultivated in France, specifically in Dordogne, Auvergne, Charente and Corrèze. Once the extraction process is completed, the unit reuses the mulch (transformed tobacco leaves) to produce energy and fertilizer. A local methanization company carries out this operation.

Concerned about the safety of our customers and the quality of our products, Vincent dans les Vapes and CirKus by VDLV E-liquids received the AFNOR certification in September 2016 (XP D90-300-2 standard). Today, all of our e-liquids are certified (except the latest novelties currently being certified).

The XP-D90-300-2 certification has several requirements:

  • A rigorous selection of raw materials used.
  • The exclusion of harmful ingredients such as heavy metals, sugars and sweeteners or vegetable and mineral oils; as well as vitamins and minerals, stimulating additives, formaldehyde liberators and other substances classified CMR  and STOT (specific toxicity of the respiratory tract of class 1) …
  • Control of diacetyl, acrolein, acetaldehyde, formaldehyde concentration in E-liquids. The AFNOR standard determines the maximum levels.
  • Information provided to consumers on the product. Assistance via internet and telephone offered.

VDLV is at the heart of theDémin-indus (industrial start-up) concept by supporting projects or companies with high development potential.

The company is thus supporting several  start-ups towards increased craftsmanship through a program of industrialization and integration of upstream / downstream resources.

VDLV therefore created  a real economic puzzle established in Cestas where the pieces act complementarity with each other. The company deploys part of its technical, financial and human resources by putting them at the service of innovative projects with the aim of limiting external supply chains and promoting the use of short circuits.

CSR as the establishement of a Societal Policy

Since our creation, the safety and well-being of employees have been major issues for VDLV. In 2019, the company obtained the Mon entreprise bouge  label issued by MEDEF – Gironde. Various physical activities are set up such as a warm up before taking up a post, Pilates classes, cohesion days, participation in various local sporting events (eg: Burdi’Color) … in order to promote team spirit and prevent accidents as well as MSDs (musculoskeletal disorders).

Because it is essential for VDLV to ensure the well-being of its employees and the proper development of inter-team / intra-company cohesion, the company has recently created the position of Coordinator of Common Spaces and Cohesion. Resulting from an internal recruitment, our “Happy manager” is responsible for bringing employees together around common values ​​through sports, cultural or festive activities and more educational actions such as, for example, respect for the rules of sorting waste within the company. At VDLV, the skills and development of each employee are put under the spotlight through annual training plans. Our HR department has also designed an internal career development program. In 2019, 85% of VDLV employees received training.

La Vape Du Cœur is a charity recognized under the 1901 law of general interest. Their purpose is to help smokers of little means by supporting them with suitable smoking cessation tools (personal vaporizers or e-cigarettes, e-liquids and accessories, patches). For several years, the VDLV team has been an engaged partner of this charity by providing financial support, technical advice and e-liquid donations.

Businesses have an important role to play in building a more responsible world and must be aware of their social and environmental impact. In 2019, VDLV signed the Global Compact pact following the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the UN.
